Kristen Oswald, of Royersford, Montgomery County, died during an Ironman triathlon in Ohio on Sunday after being struck by a commercial truck struck while she was cycling on the course.

Shots were fired Friday evening in a parking lot of Lehigh Valley Mall, injuring two men while the suspect fled the scene.

At least one suspect is at large after the double shooting, which began around 7:10 p.m. The suspect fired the gun in the parking lot near Macy’s at the Whitehall Township shopping complex.

Shortly before the shooting, there was a reported dispute inside the Macy’s store involving a shattered window. Police are investigating if the two incidents are connected. During a press conference, police said there is surveillance footage from various cameras being reviewed.

The two unidentified victims sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to an undisclosed hospital. Their current condition is unknown. A description of the suspect is also currently unavailable.

Police have at least one suspect, who is male, at large, but no further information to provide at this time.

Following the shooting, police closed the lot at Macy’s. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Lehigh Valley Mall and Detective Matt Reszek.
