Philadelphia police are investigating what appears to be a homicide after a 25-year-old man was found dead Wednesday in a West Philadelphia home.
According to CBSPhilly, the body's discovery led from a police call to the home on North Edgewood Street for reports of gunfire being heard coming from inside.
Once police arrived on scene the situation quickly escalated to a SWAT standoff, which ultimately ended in the discovery of the body in an upstairs room as well as police finding a 23-year-old man in hiding.
The 23-year-old was taken into custody for questioning and an investigation is ongoing, police told CBSPhilly.
