Boy hospitalized after vehicle strikes him in Germantown

Investigation underway after boy suffers sustains injuries

Philadelphia police say a boy around the age of 12 is in the hospital Wednesday night after he was struck by a vehicle in Germantown.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of West Sylvania Street. The boy was taken to Einstein Medical Center with serious injuries, according to 6 ABC.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
