Investigators: Two bodies discovered in woods of Middle Township

Investigation underway after unidentified male and female bodies found by pedestrian

Police in Middle Township, New Jersey, discovered two bodies in a wooded area on Wednesday morning after receiving a call from an individual walking along a back trail, officials said. 

Police responded to the scene at Old Rio Grande Avenue at 9:11 am on Wednesday, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner.

Upon arrival, police found the deceased bodies of a male and a female, who have not yet been identified.

According to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, the investigation is in the beginning stages and further information will be provided at a later time.
