Man pushing stroller struck by driver suspected of DUI in West Philly

Police took a man into custody Tuesday after he allegedly struck a man with his vehicle in West Philadelphia, NBC10 reports.

The incident occurred around 8 a.m. at 66th Street and Haverford Avenue.

Police say the driver struck the man who was walking his 1-year-old in a stroller, along with a dog.

The baby reportedly fell out of the stroller but was neither hit by the car nor seriously injured. The dog was also unharmed.

The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, who police say initially fled the scene, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. According to police, the driver is suspected of driving under the influence.

The incident is under investigation.
