During Legends of the Hidden Temple: Penn Museum Edition on Wednesday, April 20, attendees join teams and compete in physical and mental challenges throughout the Museum galleries and grounds.

Update: Legends of the Hidden Temple: Penn Museum Edition is sold out.

The Penn Museum is bringing the '90s back with its own version of the popular Nickelodeon game show "Legends of the Hidden Temple."

On Wednesday, April 20, the museum will assign participants to teams like the Blue Barracudas or the Orange Iguanas to compete in mental and physical challenges based on global history

Staff from the Penn Museum, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the American Philosophical Society Museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Mutter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and the Wagner Free Institute of Science will be the ones testing participants on challenges.

Just watch out for "temple guards" who could be lurking around any corner. The guards will capture players to throw them off course and demand answers to history questions before allowing competitors to continue on.

While the event definitely calls to mind being a kid in the '90s, it's a 21-plus event with a cash bar.

Tickets are $20 for nonmembers and include one complimentary beverage.
