Carson Wentz has better velocity now than he did in previous seasons

Arm strength has always been one of Carson Wentz's strengths, and it was perhaps logical to expect that the velocity on his throws would dip a bit, simply because he is still rehabbing his torn ACL and LCL, suffered in December of last year. That has not been the case. In fact, according to data the Eagles use that tracks such things, Wentz is throwing with more velocity than he was in 2016 or 2017.

Redskins rookie RB Derrius Guice out for season with torn ACL

This loss will sting the Redskins, a team with a good offensive line that previously lacked a quality early down back to run behind it. The Redskins hoped Guice would help significantly improve their 28th ranked rushing offense of a year ago, but they'll have to wait until next season to see any return on their investment in him.

Shelton Gibson shows why the Eagles drafted him on first big play as professional receiver

During the Philadelphia Eagles' 2017 training camp, Shelton Gibson couldn't catch the football. Barring some camp bodies over the years, he had, in my view, one of the worst training camp performances I have ever seen since I've been covering the team.

Eagles' starting defense dominant in first preseason game, with gifs and stuff

The Steelers were playing without Ben Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown, so you don't want to make too much of the Eagles' starters' defensive performance, but it was certainly a good sign for a unit whose last impression was not a great one.

Analysis (useless analysis, that is) of the Eagles' first published depth chart

Back in the Chip Kelly days, when the Philadelphia Eagles released their first depth chart, Kelly went way out of his way to make sure everyone knew that head PR guy Derek Boyko was the one who put it together, and not the coaching staff, who viewed it as an unnecessary annoyance.
