Dave & Buster's seeks liquor license for potential Atlantic City location

Dave & Buster's is seeking a liquor license for an Atlantic City, New Jersey location at the Tanger Outlets. The sports bar and arcade chain has 152 locations, including two in Philadelphia, one in King of Prussia, and one in South Jersey at the Gloucester Premium Outlets. The company expects to open 11 new locations in the U.S. in 2023.

Bruce Springsteen featured on Lucinda Williams' first album since stroke

Bruce Springsteen and his wife, Patty Scialfa, contributed to a new song on Lucinda Williams' upcoming album 'Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart.' The collaboration, 'New York Comeback,' was released Tuesday. The album, Williams' first since suffering a stroke in 2020, is due out June 30 and will feature Angel Olson, Tommy Stinson, Margo Price, Jeremy Ivey, Buddy Miller and Jesse Malin.

Goodman Properties plans to construct a 46-story apartment building at 19th and Chestnut streets in Center City. The developer plans to preserve the facade of the property, currently occupied by a CVS pharmacy, which was originally the site of the Aldine Theatre.

New sports bubble with driving ranges, VR simulators collapsed during severe storms in Central Jersey

The air dome at Adventure Crossing USA in Jackson Township, New Jersey was destroyed by Saturday night's powerful storms that swept through the region. At least four tornados touched down in New Jersey, including one inJackson Township, according to the National Weather Service. Other tornados hit Cinnaminson, Palmyra-Riverton and Howell. The air dome at Adventure Crossing USA opened in January as part of the multi-phase development project near Six Flags Great Adventure.

Ben Franklin Bridge to flash new lights across Delaware River

The Benjamin Franklin Bridge will debut its newly-installed LED lighting system at 7:45 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023. The system can put on a range of effects like a chasing rainbow pattern that will follow PATCO train cars as they cross the bridge. Colorful light displays can be themed to coincide with holidays and other special events.

Chester County police officer fatally struck bicyclist while chasing down erratic driver, prosecutors say

Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Officer Jason Listmeier, 24, was charged Thursday in connection with a fatal crash with a bicyclist on Feb. 20. Listmeier was responding to a report of an erratic driver on Route 202 when he lost control of his car and collided with 75-year-old Michael Ghione in the 900 block of South High Street.

N.J. state trooper under investigation for tattoo linked to white supremacist groups

New Jersey state trooper Jason Dare, 46, has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into a neck tattoo that says 'Blood & Honor,' a phrase associated with skinhead and white supremacist groups. Dare recently was reported missing by state police after he left a medical facility in Delaware County. A photo released by police during the search for Dare showed his neck tattoo.

Jetson Electric Bikes, the maker of the hoverboard blamed for causing a fire that killed two sisters in Pennsylvania last year, has issued a recall for about 53,000 of its Rogue self-balancing scooters, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

Sea Isle City adopts curfew for teens, bans backpacks on beaches after 10 p.m. this summer

Sea Isle City passed two ordinances this week that include a 10 p.m. curfew for juveniles and a nighttime ban on backpacks for all people on the promenade, beaches and ends of beach blocks. The changes signal a growing trend among Jersey Shore towns striving to prevent crowds of unattended teens taking over public spaces.
