Bubba, 2, leans out of his owner's pickup truck parked in front of the first Wawa convenience store, opened in April 1964, in Folsom, Pa., Thursday April 22, 2004.

Wawa, already a bastion of near perfection, isn't often the subject of conversations about improvement. Even the ATM's don't carry a surcharge, which is unreal.

But what if Pennsylvania Wawas sold beer? They can legally do so already at their locations in Virginia, Maryland and Florida, but not here, yet.

According to Fox 29, a Wawa located in Chadds Ford is considering selling six-packs of beer. The store reportedly says that it will follow all of the proper rules to legally do so, as at some Acme locations, and a hearing has been set in Concord Township at the end of the month.

While beer distributors may balk at the idea, there is a difference between a six-pack and a 12-pack, which is now legal in Pennsylvania, or a even a case for that matter. The selection would not likely be anywhere near as extensive, either. If anything, Wawa would potentially become a place to go for more beer.
