Police in North Philadelphia were led by a toddler on Friday to a dilapidated home where they discovered an 11-year-old child asleep and without any parental supervision.
At around 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, police responded to the 2200 block of North 16th Street, where they found a 2-year-old child suffering from a serious burn to the left foot, NBC 10 reports.
When police then entered the toddler's home, they found an 11-year-old child asleep on the second floor. No parents were home at the time.
Medics took the children to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to be examined and DHS officials were brought in to assist in the investigation.
