Someone in a Temple University dorm room pointed a laser at a police helicopter Monday night, officials said.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. inside a residence on the university’s campus.
Shortly after, Lieutenant David Bonk of the Philadelphia Police Department’s aviation unit posted a photo and warning message to Temple students on Twitter.

Lt. Bonk said on Twitter that the same individual “hit us twice tonight a few seconds apart” from the building at Broad and Cecil B. Moore.
Bonk said it is illegal to point lasers at an aircraft and the student is "lucky" the helicopter was not a medevac with a critical patient on board.
He added that police do not plan to pursue the individual.
