Police: 1 man killed, 2 injured in North Philadelphia shooting

Investigation underway as armed suspect remains at large

Philadelphia police are investigating after a triple shooting left one man dead and two others injured in North Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. near East Allegheny Avenue and E Street, FOX 29 reports.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a 46-year-old Hispanic man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The second victim, a 59-year-old Hispanic man, was shot once in the arm and twice in the chest. He was taken to Temple University hospital and listed in stable condition.

The third victim, a 33-year-old black male, was shot in the back and taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

The suspect, described as an unknown black male wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts, remains at large. Police believe he is armed with a rifle.
