Eagles free agency grade roundup

NFL free agency will continue on until, well, the end of the 2019 season, but the most noteworthy players have already been snapped up across the league. And so, let's take a peek at what some outsiders are saying about the Eagles' free agency period.

Eagles

Soooooo, are the Eagles going to add a good running back or not?

After two weeks of free agency, the Philadelphia Eagles have not yet addressed the most glaring hole on their roster, the running back position. Instead, they have stayed true to form, prioritizing the trenches and devaluing the running back position, a smart way building an NFL roster, but also a frustrating philosophy to some fans who would love to see a stud feature back in the Birds' backfield.

NFC East free agency grades: Eagles edition

The Philadelphia Eagles entered 2019 free agency with fewer glaring needs than most teams, but certainly in need of some help, particularly at (outside) wide receiver, defensive tackle, and running back. They also had a number of decisions to make on some of their own players, most notably backup quarterback Nick Foles.

NFC East free agency grades: Giants edition

Blaming Dave Gettleman for the tire fire the Giants have become is easy (and valid), but the bigger problem is owner John Mara.

Report: Eagles to sign DE Vinny Curry

Curry will turn 31 in June. When he last played for the Eagles, he wasn't much of a pass rushing threat (3 sacks as a 16-game starter), but he was a good run defender. He brings familiarity to the table, but likely not much in the way of impact.

NFC East free agency grades: Landover, MD team edition

The Landover team lost a number of decent contributors, but at least that cleared some cap space to spend on new acquisitions. So what did they do? They blew a ton of money on a box safety, signed a few additional old guys, traded for a quarterback similar to the flawed one they already have, and added one of the biggest draft busts in the last decade.

The theme of this Cowboys offseason is going to be, how much will it cost to retain their own players? Let's take a look at what they have done so far this offseason:

Eagles sign S Andrew Sendejo

In 2017, Sendejo started on a Vikings team that went to the NFC Championship Game. In 13 games during the regular season, he had 80 tackles, 2 INTs, and 7 pass breakups. In the NFC Championship Game, he got run over by LeGarrette Blount.
