In our Eagles chat last week, there were a lot of questions that we could not get to in time or other questions we did answer but could use more color. And so, let's do a mailbag post to answer some of the overflow.

Super Bowl LIII is, in my opinion, not exactly the most fun matchup that could have emerged from this year's group of playoff teams. It's the team that nobody wants to see there (the recidivist cheating New England Patriots) against a team (the Los Angeles Rams) that cowardly kicked a field goal (for the tie!) on 4th and Goal from the 1 in the NFC Championship Game, but was then bailed out by the one of the worst pass interference no-calls in the history of the sport.

The New England Patriots are in the Super Bowl for the third straight year (yawn), this time against the Los Angeles Rams, in a game in which most are trying to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Tonight at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in its "NFL Honors" show, the NFL will hand out awards to its players, including the 2018 MVP. Here we'll take a look at who should win each of those awards tonight, and who should win each of those awards if we're limiting them to the Eagles' roster.

To begin, this is already moot. Pederson already stated that Jim Schwartz will return as the team's defensive coordinator, and Mike Groh will continue on as the team's offensive coordinator. So they're both staying. Here we'll look at the seasons each coach had.

The Philadelphia Eagles and safety Rodney McLeod have agreed to a restructured contract, which will keep McLeod on the roster at least through the 2019 season.

At no point during the 2018 NFL season were the Philadelphia Eagles ever a healthy football team. From Week 1 through until the divisional round of the playoffs, the Birds played through a cavalcade of injuries, which we'll show in week-to-week form, with stick figures.

One of the forgotten Philadelphia Eagles signings last offseason was linebacker Paul Worrilow, who tore his ACL during OTAs on the same day that the team released Mychal Kendricks.

Doug Pederson won a Super Bowl without his MVP quarterback and his Hall of Fame LT, among others in 2017. In 2018, dealing with even more injuries as well as some major losses to his coaching staff, Pederson got his depleted team back into the playoffs, and even won a road playoff game, advancing to the divisional round. I think his job is safe.
