Eagles screwed by inconsistent enforcement of roughing the passer penalties in consecutive games

One of the major themes of the 2018 NFL season, league-wide, has been the enforcement of laughable roughing the passer calls, whether they be for accidental and/or harmless contact with a quarterback's helmet, any kind of contact with the quarterback's leg below the knees, or landing on the quarterback with body weight.

Live updates/open thread recap: Vikings 23, Eagles 21

The Philadelphia Eagles will head back home to the friendly (or perhaps unfriendly) confines of Lincoln Financial Field, where the Birds currently have a 13-game winning streak going, that is if you don't count the meaningless Week 17 game last season when the Eagles' JV team lost to the Cowboys' varsity team. One of those wins, of course, was the Eagles' 38-7 rout over the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game, when Nick Foles suddenly caught fire and would eventually finish the job in the Super Bowl... in Minnesota.

Week 5 non-Eagles Sunday rooting guide

In past seasons, Philadelphia Eagles fans generally rooted for their own team, and kept an eye on the rest of the NFC East. In 2018, with the Birds being among the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, it's perhaps worth keeping tabs on the conference, as opposed to just the division. You know, assuming they get out of this early-season funk. And so, each week we'll lay out a rooting guide for non-Eagles games on the NFL schedule, and yes, I'm aware that most of the below is obvious.
