Report: Former Eagles WR Jordan Matthews released by Patriots

On August 11 of 2017, the Philadelphia Eagles traded Jordan Matthews and a third-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Ronald Darby. In Matthews' absence, Nelson Agholor filled the slot receiver role and had a breakout season, catching 62 passes for 768 yards and 8 TDs.

NFL video tutorial leaves Eagles players confused on new rule changes

On Sunday, a few referees stopped by the Philadelphia Eagles' complex to provide a video demonstration on the NFL's rule changes for the upcoming 2018 season. The media was then welcomed to watch it as well. The tutorial did little to clear up the players' confusion about a controversial rule change in which players are no longer allowed to lower their heads to make tackles. Here is what the players and media saw on Sunday, which I shot with my phone.

On Monday, Chad Finn of The Boston Globe fielded a team on paper of ex-New England Patriots that are still active on rosters around the NFL. It turns out that you could field a halfway decent team if you did that with the Pats. Naturally, I wondered what such an Eagles team would look like, so I blatantly ripped off The Boston Globe's headline and made one for Philly. Spoiler: The Eagles' version wouldn't be as good.

NFL analyst Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports put out an article on the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, and within it he said that Howie Roseman would be actively trying to pursue trade opportunities.
