Timothy Robinson, 62, is charged with homicide by vehicle and related offenses in the death of a three-year-old child who was struck in a March 28 crash near the intersection of 30th Street and West Girard Avenue. Investigators say Robinson was driving under the influence of an unnamed substance. The child was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital. The child's mother, who was also at the scene, managed to escaped without serious injury.

Chester police are investigating after a dead body was found Monday in a wooded area of Deshong Park in Delaware County. Authorities did not provide information about the identity or gender of the person who was found. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

The restoration of the historic Beury Building in North Philadelphia, best-known as the "Boner 4Ever" building on North Broad Street, is now underway after delays to previous redevelopment plans. The 14-story high-rise, built in 1927, will be redone as a 138-room Marriott Hotel with new restaurants and a rooftop bar. A residential building is planned for a later stage and will include a mix of affordable and market rate projects to go with community spaces. The project is led by Shift Capital and the Wankawala Organization.

Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of 15-year-old Sean Toomey, who was struck by gunfire outside his family's home in the Wissinoming section of the city on March 24. The incident happened shortly after two men unsuccessfully attempted to break in to the car of a neighbor. Toomey, who was outside getting water from his father's car, was struck in the head by a bullet and died the following day. Authorities are investigating whether the two incidents were linked and whether Toomey was targeted.

The Wyomissing, Pennsylvania home where Taylor Swift spent some of her childhood years is listed on the market for $999,900. The property at 78 Grandview Blvd., just outside Reading in Berks County, was occupied by the Swift family until they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 to encourage Taylor to pursue her music career. Swift visited the property during her 2018 "Reputation" tour.

The Newark native and "Law & Order: SVU" star commiserated with people across the United States who have been paying more for fuel as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and crude oil prices rising. 88.5 WXPN in Philadelphia has named Mike Vasilikos the new host of the midday show on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vasilikos will replace Helen Leicht, who retired in March after a career in Philadelphia radio that spanned nearly 50 years. The station said Vasilikos also will serve as operations manager at 88.5 and will continue to host the "8 O'Clock News" show debuting new music on Monday nights.

Nikolay Lukyanchikov, 50, of Northampton Township, was sentenced to spend two to four years in state prison for fatally shooting his adopted pet greyhound and then burning the animal on a charcoal grill in his yard, Bucks County prosecutors announced Wednesday. Lukyanchikov will be prohibited from ever owning or caring for animals again once his prison term is completed.
