The trial for Kathryn Knott, one of three people charged in the beating of a gay couple in Center City last fall, is expected to begin Wednesday, CBSPhilly reports.
Two co-defendants, Philip Williams and Kevin Harrigan, both of Bucks County, accepted a plea deal in October that prohibits them from entering Center City for the duration of their probation. They also will be required to perform community service at LGBT organizations.
Knott, of Upper Southampton, Bucks County, rejected the deal in favor of facing trial for charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, conspiracy and related offenses.
