Thrillist recently released its list of the best small beach towns in America, and a few local spots made the cut.

Cape May and Ocean Grove in New Jersey made the list, as well as Rehoboth, Delaware. New Jersey claimed two of the 14 spots on the list, trailing only Florida with three.

Ocean Grove is praised as "the most eye-catching beach town in the state."

Why? Because of the pretty pastel canopies that jut out from the cottages in the town's Tent City. Every summer, hundreds of people spend up to $5,000 for four months of cozy, down-the-shore living in one of these canvas beauties.

Cape May is described as a place for people to "enjoy calm ocean breezes" and "historic Victorian homes." The Dogfish Head Brewery near Rehoboth is listed as one of the main attractions in that city.
