Authorities: Off-duty Philly police officer injures one in domestic shooting

A Philadelphia police officer was involved in a domestic shooting Tuesday that injured one person in Bucks County, authorities said.

The Northampton Township Police Department confirmed this afternoon that an investigation is ongoing with support from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the Holland area.

Authorities have not identified the female officer or the male victim, who is being treated at a nearby hospital for an undisclosed injury. The officer was off-duty when the shooting occurred.

The officer reportedly shot her husband in the driveway while three children were inside the home, 6ABC reports.

No charges have been filed yet, but investigators are still reviewing the case.
