Dickens Christmas Party to be held in local Victorian mansion

Santa, Scrooge and other holiday favorites coming to Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion

On Dec. 10, the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion will host its annual Dickens Christmas Party. During the family-friendly event, there will be visits from Santa, arts & crafts, caroling and a one-man show.

Santa Claus will be on hand from 1-3 p.m. to hear wish lists from children and take photos. After getting a photo, children have the opportunity to create an ornament as a keepsake of the day.

As for other entertainment, the Touch of Classics Victorian Carolers will perform holiday favorites in between Victorian Theatre presentations.

Then, at 3:15 p.m., Josh Hitchen will perform his one-man show of the Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol." Hitchen will transform effortlessly from Ebenezer Scrooge to the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Tickets, which should be purchased in advance, are $20 per person (members receive a discount). Children 10 and under can attend for free.
