Summer is finally in sight, which means it’s time to kick off those boots and swap your long-sleeve shirts and sweaters for some sundresses, swimsuits and shades.

But before you run off to the mall (or drive, because, Jersey), consider upgrading your wardrobe by shopping small and local this summer.

South Jersey may not be a metropolitan city with shops on every street corner like Philadelphia, but when it comes to high fashion, the suburbs are sprinkled with a wealth of hidden spots that are worth the drive.

Below are a few of our favorites.

SaDee's in Hammonton, Atlantic County

Hammonton is known for its blueberries, and (we like to say) for SaDee's Clothing Boutiquea stylish boutique for fashion-forward women.

Located on the main street of quaint downtown Hammonton, the shop carries a slew of high-end, popular brands, such as Alex & Ani and KUT from the Kloth.

Sandra & Roy's Boutique in Linwood, Atlantic County

If you live in Philadelphia or South Jersey, then summer is probably spent 'down the shore' wallowing in the sun, sand and surf.

Make this summer even better by adding shopping onto your to-do list with a stop by Sandra & Roy's in Linwood. The boutique is on the way to the shore and is just minutes from the sand.

Scout Clothing & Decor in Margate, Atlantic County

While we're on the subject of the shore, here's a must-visit boutique that's literally a block from the beach in Margate: Scout Clothing & Decor.

The shop is owned by a 20-something local with a love for high fashion and a passion to bring it to her small beach town.

This summer, shake off the sand and take a walk over to Scout Clothing & Decor. Just don't forget your wallet.

Alicia DiMichele Boutique in Marlton, Burlington County

Closer to the city in The Promenade outside shopping center in Marlton is a chic shop called Alicia DiMichele Boutique, owned by the "Mob Wives" celebrity TV star and fashionista herself.
DiMichele, who previously owned clothing stores on East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia and in Cherry Hill in South Jersey, opened her namesake clothing shop earlier this year.

She also launched a clothing line, which is sold in the boutique, and everything else she hand-picks herself.

Ragamuffins Children's Boutique in Cherry Hill, Camden County

When you're out shopping for summer styles this season, don't forget about your pint-sized fashionista.

Ragamuffins in Cherry Hill will have your little one styling all year round. Check out its website for the latest in summer fashions. Be warned, your little miss may outshine you.
