Police say this suspect, captured on surveillance video, robbed the Aldi supermarket on Easton Road in Abington Township in the middle of the afternoon on Monday.
An Abington Township supermarket was robbed by a gun-wielding man in the middle of the day on Monday.
According to police, a suspect entered the Aldi store at 1955 Davisville Road in Willow Grove about 3:40 p.m. and approached a female employee, then shoving her to the ground. The man displayed a black, semi-automatic handgun and forced the worker to take him to her cash register. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
No shots were fired and nobody was injured, said police, who gave the following description of the suspect: a male wearing a black jacket with a white Nike emblem, blue jeans, tan boots and a dark colored ski mask.
