Jamba Juice stores coming to Philly suburbs

The smoothie vendor Jamba Juice will be opening up a couple of stores in the Philadelphia region, and more are expected to come, according to Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Journal reports that local entrepreneur Andreanna Chryssos, who has development rights for the Philadelphia-area franchise, will open stores at the corner of Routes 29 and 30 in a new strip mall development in Malvern on August 18 and the Willow Grove Pointe Shopping Center at 4021 Welsh Road on July 31.

Chryssos opened a Jamba Juice stand in the King of Prussia Mall in 2013. The Journal reports that now she is aiming for Center City:

"Downtown Philly — that's on our radar and has been since the beginning. Finding a perfect spot is taking longer than we'd anticipated. We're interested in being downtown."

Jamba Juice is a California-based company that has recently been expanding on the East Coast. In addition to serving a variety of juices and smoothies, the chain features a menu that includes flatbreads, baked goods, and sandwiches.
