Philadelphia's first LGBTQ-focused digital radio station to debut

Listeners in the Philadelphia region have another option this week when a first digital radio station focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities debuts.

iHeartMedia will launch Pride Radio Philly, the city's first station to feature programming exclusively serving the LBGTQ community, according to Philadelphia Business Journal.

Richard Lewis, president of iHeartMedia’s Philly region, told the outlet that topics will include LGBTQ rights, fitness, finance and more.

With the tagline "The pulse of LGBTQ Philly," the station can be heard nationwide on the iHeart Radio app, 102.1 HD2 or online. Users will hear pop music and dance remixes, as well as local and national hosts.

The station will offer a localized version of iHeartMedia's Pride Radio, which operates on the national level.
