Carvin & Ivan are Philadelphia-based music producers. Carvin Haggins, left, is a two-time Grammy Award winner.

Philly production duo Carvin "Ransum" Haggins and Ivan "Orthodox" Barias will receive the "Music Makes Me Happy Community Award," given to artists who inspire change through music.

Carvin & Ivan have produced or written for Jill Scott, Justin Timberlake, Estelle, Keyshia Cole, Ledisi and others since the late-'90s. Other Philadelphia-based artists to be featured at the Wednesday-night showcase include John Graves, Bria Marie, Suzann Christine and Youssef Kromah. The "Music Makes Me Happy" showcase will make stops in Atlanta and Los Angeles later this summer.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Music Makes Me Happy School Outreach program in Philadelphia. The program educates youth about music's value as not just an entertainment form, but a means of social impact.
