Philadelphia students were able to enjoy one day off from school thanks to Winter Storm Stella, but classes will be back in session on Wednesday.

Both the School District of Philadelphia and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia made announcements around 7 p.m.

The School District of Philadelphia said that all public schools will operate on a regular schedule. All after-school activities will take place as scheduled and early childhood centers will be open.

The Archdiocese will also be open Wednesday, but elementary and high schools located within the city will begin classes on a two-hour delay.

Archdiocesan officials urged suburban schools to follow the direction of their local public school district.
