Philly is Snapchat's featured city Friday

You can be our town's tour guide using the social media app

Ready to show the world around the city?

Well, OK — maybe not the entire world. But considering Snapchat has somewhere in the ballpark of 100 million users, the fact that Philly is the app's featured city Friday means many eyes will be on the City of Brotherly Love.

ChatterBlast notes Philly was left out last year when Snapchat introduced "Cities of the World," in which the app features a different city every day and allows users to post photos and videos that show landmarks and cultural highlights of their town to a "story" that is visible to all users.

Philly finally gets its day Friday. Here's how it works, according to Snapchat:

While you're here, you may submit Snaps to Be Our Philly Guide. The Snaps that are selected will be posted to Be Our Philly Guide and may be viewed by anyone. To opt out of this location-based feature, turn off Filters in Settings.

Snapchat already has a few Philly-centric filters, but it rolled out some special ones Friday. Here they are (with photos from around PhillyVoice's office).

Snap away, Philly!
