In a move that was expected, the Sixers agreed to terms with 37th overall pick Richaun Holmes, per RealGM’s Shams Charania. The terms haven’t been released yet, but my guess is that the contract runs for four years, is at least fully guaranteed for the 2015-16 season, and has a couple of team option years on the back end. Jared Dudley probably won’t be very happy:

Jerami Grant, the 39th overall pick a year ago, also got the second season (2015-16) of his Hinkie Special fully guaranteed so it would not be a surprise if Holmes was able to secure a similar deal.
The Sixers now have 17 players on the roster for training camp that will battle for 15 spots. No, the NBA doesn’t exactly contain the drama of “Hard Knocks” (although the scene where T.J. McConnell gets asked for his playbook would be heartbreaking), but it will have to do. Not mentioned on this list are second-round picks Jordan McRae and Jean-Pierre Tokoto, who are still unsigned (and may remain that way).

Holmes played well during the Salt Lake City portion of summer league, showcasing athleticism and the makings of a three-point shot before fracturing his elbow in the last game after making a nice chase-down block. If the initial report of six to eight weeks of rehab is still the case, Holmes could potentially return at some point during training camp. That is an example of the type of energy play the Bowling Green product hopes to make on a consistent basis.
“That’s my M.O.: just play hard at all times, defend, and try to help the team win,” Holmes said.
THURSDAY UPDATE: Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops and the AP says that Holmes did get two years guaranteed:
