The 6th annual South Street Spring Festival took place on Saturday, May 4. Over 10,000 people walked the 10-blocks-long festival which ran between Front and Eighth Streets on South Street, and along Second Street to Headhouse Square. The festival featured 135 vendors, including food, cocktails and crafts. There was a family fun zone with circus acts, crafts and face painting.

The sunny weather brought out the crowds to Philadelphia's tastiest food festival "Flavors on the Avenue " on Sunday April 28, 2019. The annual event took over five blocks offering delicious treats, local beer, live music, arts and crafts vendors and family fun zones which included a bounce house. Over two dozen of the region's best restaurants served street food, small plates and signature dishes along South Philadelphia's restaurant row including meat and vegetarian sliders from P'unk Burger and Bing Bing Dim Sum serving spicy cold sesame noodles and Chinese BBQ Pork Sandwiches to customers. Nice Things Handmade presented nearly 80 of the region's top makers and crafters with home décor, paintings, candles, jewelry, pottery, furniture, soaps, artisan foods, handmade pet treats, fashion – and everything in between for sale along the Avenue as well.
