Joe Laurinaitis, best known as Road Warrior Animal of the WWE, died at 60 years old. The Philadelphia native is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and won multiple tag team titles during his career with Legion of Doom partner Mike "Road Warrior Hawk" Hegstrand.

Man in critical condition after being stabbed near Philly homeless encampment

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the area of Philadelphia's homeless encampment protest on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Sept. 22, 2020. The victim was listed in critical condition. City officials say they continue to seek a peaceful resolution of the encampments, which defied orders to leave on Sept. 9.

Pennsylvania's 'naked ballot' ruling will 'cause electoral chaos,' Philly commissioner warns

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court that ruled that "naked ballots," or those without a second "secrecy envelope," will be thrown away and not counted in the 2020 election. Philadelphia City Commissioner Lisa Deeley warned in a letter to state lawmakers that this could result in as many as 100,000 votes being tossed if the requirement isn't removed.
