Two people drowned in Camden County lake on Monday, police say

The bodies of two people who drowned in Penbryn Lake in Camden County were recovered Monday afternoon, Winslow Township police said. A group of four people had gone to the lake – a former quarry – and two of them went swimming, but never returned, investigators said. A day earlier, two toddlers drowned in a Bellmawr swimming pool.

Nine men charged in alleged gun trafficking scheme in Pottstown

Nine people have been arrested for allegedly running a gun trafficking scheme out of a storage unit and residences in Pottstown, Montgomery County prosecutors said Tuesday. The men are accused of illegally buying and selling 31 guns from stores in eight Pennsylvania counties. They also allegedly used a 3D printer to create and sell 'ghost guns' suppressors and 'switches.'

Darby man sentenced for fatal road-rage shooting in Delaware County

Saddiq Washington, 24, of Darby, Delaware County, was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in prison for fatally shooting King Hua, 54, on State Road in Springfield in June 2022. His mother, Amanda Washington, previously was sentenced to 7 years of probation for helping him flee the scene.
