WATCH: Suspect pulls pocketknife on employees during robbery, police say

Police are looking to identify and locate the suspect they say robbed a Rite Aid in Spring Garden.

Police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in a robbery in Spring Garden.

In surveillance video released by police Tuesday, an unknown male suspect can be seen inside a Rite Aid pharmacy at 1924 Fairmount Ave. on Friday at 8:38 p.m.

When a 28-year-old female employee attempted to stop the suspect for suspected shoplifting, police say he pulled a pocketknife, chased employees and threatened them. He then fled the store in an unknown direction with multiple bars of Dove soap, according to authorities.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.


Police describe the suspect as a bald, 45-year-old black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 220 pounds, with a beard. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
