A teenager was hit by a SEPTA bus this afternoon at the Olney Transportation Center.

A teenager was critically injured when he was hit by a bus in North Philadelphia Friday afternoon, and SEPTA is creditingone of its own with acting quickly to provide medical assistance to the victim.
A SEPTA police officer was the first responder to the scene of the accident at the Olney Transportation Center around 3:30 p.m. and used a tourniquet on the teen to stop bleeding from an artery, NBC Philadelphia reports.
The boy suffered from a possible severed femoral artery, police said.
The victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for surgery and is listed in critical condition.
