First, women were told wearing high heels will wreck havoc on their feet

Now there's more validation that 'beauty is pain' as doctors are warning women about the dangers of wearing skinny jeans.

According to The Associated Press, an Australian woman landed herself in the hospital after her too-tight jeans restricted blood flow to her legs and caused nerve blockade and muscle swelling -- so much so that the pants had to be cut off. 

Dr. Thomas Kimber -- of the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia -- who treated the patient and wrote a report on the incident in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, warned skinny jean wearers to avoid excessive squatting if ditching the wardrobe staple isn't an option.
