Family-Friendly Gardening
Garden Maze Rob Cardillo/Dilworth Park

Groundswell Design Group, the organization behind the popular Spruce Street Harbor Park and Independence Beer Garden, created a winter-only maze for Dilworth Park's outdoor space.

Through February, Greater Philadelphia Gardens will present free horticultural programs for families and adults at Dilworth Park.

Each class will take place in the Rothman Institute Cabin, next to the ice rink. Terrariums, Valentine's Day flower arrangements, orchids for the office and flower crowns are on the schedule.

While all events are free, check Dilworth Park's website before attending. The site lists whether the program is geared toward families or adults.

By the time it's spring, program participants will have green thumbs.
