$10,000 reward offered for suspects in drive-by shooting

Suspects sought after 7-year-old-girl was shot in the head

The City of Philadelphia and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 are each offering a $5,000 reward to track down two suspects in a drive-by shooting that took place on May 2.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m., 19th District Officers responded to a call for a "Person with a gun" on the 5400 block of Haverford Avenue. When they arrived, they met the parents of three girls, one of whom sustained a bullet wound to the head after shots were fired into the backseat of their 2013 Chevy Impala.

The girl's father stated that he was pulling up to the family apartment when he slowed down, put on his flashers, and stopped. A dark sedan following behind then sped past them, but the father heard a pop as the car passed their vehicle. The three girls, ages 3, 4, and 7, began to scream and cry.

The 7-year-old was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and had surgery to remove the bullet in her skull on Wednesday.

The suspects are described by police as two unknown black males. Their dark 4-door sedan was last seen fleeing west on Haverford Avenue from 54th Street.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183/ 3184 or call 911.
