App puts Pope visit guide at your fingertips

Download “Go Philadelphia!” app developed by World Meeting of Families

The “Go Philadelphia!” app helps city visitors find key events and activities taking place during the "World Meeting of Families 2015" event, which takes place in Philadelphia, PA from September 22 to 27.

Visitors heading to Philadelphia in September to see Pope Francis are in for massive crowds, traffic detours and a lot of walking.

In hopes of making the experience a little smoother, the World Families of Families on Wednesday introduced a comprehensive app, Go Philadelphia! It features information about regional attractions and events, activities taking place during the Papal visit Sept. 26-27.

It also includes a map of local landmarks and religious sites as well as answers to frequently asked questions, such as whether pets are permitted and locations of wheelchair accessible entrances.

The app is available for download on iTunes and Google Play for iPhones and Androids.
