A Camden County Police Department is seen in the city of Camden.
A man has been apprehended and charged for his role in a fatal shooting in Camden, New Jersey.
Zaire Tate, 24, of Camden, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 26-year-old Jahquae Walker, county officials announced on Friday.
The incident occurred Wednesday around 12:15 a.m. on the 800 block of Walnut Street.
Authorities arrived at the scene and discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 3:58 a.m.
Tate was arrested during a traffic stop near the intersection of Collings and North Constitution Roads on Friday around 10:45 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
