Center City's first medical marijuana dispensary is now open

Medical marijuana.

The first medical marijuana dispensary in Center City opened its doors to the public on Thursday.

Beyond/Hello held an opening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. at its new location at 12th and Sansom streets, which will become its flagship store. The chain has another store in Bristol Township.

Patients with state-approved medical marijuana cards will be able to purchase flower, concentrates, cartridges and vapes, tinctures and syringes, capsules and tablets, topicals and accessories.

The first dispensary in Philadelphia opened in Fishtown this past summer after Gov. Tom Wolf signed the program into law in April 2016.

The store's hours will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
