Dump truck driver injured, horses killed in collision in Bucks County

A dump truck driver struck and killed two horses along a Bucks County road Monday morning, NBC10 reports.

The collision occurred around 3 a.m. along Durham Road near the five-point intersection with Old Durham and Stump roads in Plumstead Township.

The driver was injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital.

The horses appeared to have escaped from a nearby Bucks County farm, investigators said. Both were killed when they were struck in the roadway.

A utility pole was also damaged in the crash.
