A mere four days after they were drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, five draft picks have already signed with the team. They are RB Wendell Smallwood (5th round), S Blake Countess (6th round), S Jalen Mills (7th round), DE Alex McCalister (7th round), and LB Joe Walker (7th round).
When the new Collective Bargaining Agreement was signed, one of the positives that came from it was that rookie contracts were essentially predetermined, leaving no wiggle room for negotiations that would lead to training camp holdouts by rookie draft picks.
