Spring is traditionally prom season.

The Morris Animal Refuge will celebrate the 19th Annual Fur Ball on March 19. The theme for 2016 is retro prom night, where attendees are encouraged to don vintage wear and party to Doo-Wop for a good cause.

The yearly celebration benefits the Refuge's mission of helping abandoned and unwanted pets in the Philadelphia region.

Tickets start at $130 per person and include music, a four-hour open bar, food by 12th Street Catering and live entertainment by Project Moshen Dance Company

At the event, there will be a prom photo station, corsages for sale and a silent auction.

What makes the night unique, however, is that adoptable dogs will make guest appearances and party attendees will be able to adopt dogs and cats virtually throughout the evening.
