'House of Cards' announces season 4 in 2016

Fans of the wildly popular Netflix series 'House of Cards' can celebrate (or stop twitching) as the show's Twitter account confirmed on Thursday that Netflix has signed on for Season 4 in 2016.

According to ScreenCrush, production for Season 4 will begin this summer, with a winter or spring premiere date yet to be determined.

Netflix has acknowledged the positive influence the streaming series, led by Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, has had on subscriber growth. Meanwhile, the drama and stakes continue to build, giving the series an eerily alternative present vibe as we get closer to the 2016 election. No spoilers here, but check out this group of musicians who covered the show's theme song in all its glory.
