Man with dementia missing from Hunting Park

Philadelphia police are asking for help finding Dewey Wilson Jr. of the Hunting Park neighborhood. Police said he has dementia.

Philadelphia police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a missing senior citizen who has dementia. 

Police said that on Monday, Dewey Wilson Jr., 74, was reported missing at about 3 a.m.

Police said Wilson was last seen on the 4500 block of Germantown Ave. and resides on the 4500 block of N. Uber St.

Law enforcement officials described Wilson as about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 215 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes, medium brown complexion, close-cropped salt-and-pepper hair, a goatee and mustache.

Wilson was last seen wearing dark gray sweatpants with a white stripe down the side, a white T-shirt and black jacket and, police said, he was carrying a green broom. 

Police said that Wilson has dementia and is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
