Media's 8th annual Dining Under the Stars, a program that opens up the neighborhood for outdoor dining each summer, returns Wednesday, May 6. Local restaurants will participate in the event from 5-11 p.m. Wednesdays from May through September.
State Street will be closed to traffic from Jackson to Orange streets, meaning the approximately 25 restaurants located nearby will have plenty of room to serve dinner al fresco. Live entertainment will also be provided, and local shops and boutiques will be open to visitors.
Be sure to look around for the Philadelphia Museum of Art's "Inside Out" pop-up installations when you're in town. Artworks by Henry Ossawa Tanner, Claude Monet and Juan Gris will be located along State St. starting Friday, May 15.
