An Amber Alert has been issued for a six-year-old Connecticut girl abducted by her father, who is a murder-suspect, according to authorities.

Aliyah Hernandez of Bridgeport was taken at 8 a.m. Friday. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Authorities said she was abducted by her father, Oscar Hernandez, who is a suspect in a murder investigation. He is described as a 39-year-old white/Hispanic man, 5-foot-3, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

New Jersey State Police have activated the Amber Alert and seek the public's help if they see Aliyah or her father's vehicle, a 2017 silver Hyundai Sonata with a Connecticut license plate of AG91925.
