Paul McCartney to play Citizens Bank Park on July 12

The show is part of The Beatles USA Stadium Tour's 50th anniversary

The second week of July’s concert scene in Philadelphia just got substantially bigger than huge.

With Guns N' Roses already slated for a reunion show at Lincoln Financial Field on July 14 and Billy Joel slated to play Citizens Bank Park on July 9, Live Nation and the Phillies announced Wednesday morning that Sir Paul McCartney would also play at the ballpark on July 12.

The concert – a presale begins on April 18, with tickets going on sale April 22 at 10 a.m. – was announced via a sign reveal outside the Phillies' ballpark around 10 a.m.

“Come together, Philadelphia," reads the Phillies' website. "This summer, the Phillies will celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles USA Stadium Tour, which took place in Philadelphia at J.F.K. Stadium,” reads the website of the Phillies, who will also host a Beatles Night at the ballpark vs. the Dodgers on Aug. 16 (complete with a fleece blanket giveaway).
