A family spends time in Dinosaur Hall at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

This year, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University isn't offering pay-what-you-wish admission on the museum's Founders Day, which is March 21.

Instead, the deal will take place on Monday, March 20. This year, the annual celebration of the nation's oldest natural history museum is starting early.

A group of amateur naturalists started the museum in 1812 for “the encouragement and cultivation of the sciences and the advancement of useful learning.”

Today, the Academy of Natural Sciences is a leading natural history museum, with dinosaur bones, labs, live animal shows and hands-on activities.

While admission can be whatever you want on March 20, there is a $3 fee to visit the special exhibit "Frogs: A Chorus of Colors."
