Sheena Parveen left Philadelphia after close to five years with NBC10.

Sadly, the time has come, Philadelphia. Our TV weather crush must go. Friday marks the final day for NBC10 meteorologist Sheena Parveen, who is set to move on to NBC 4 in Washington, D.C., after nearly five years covering the Delaware Valley.

This is a difficult moment for us all. During the brutal winter of 2013-14 and countless utter hassles since, Parveen has been the cheerful personality Philly desperately needs to fend off grouchy negativity and numb-lipped skyward obscenities. She was our light, our love and a recurring source of welcomely craven romantic speculation that was nobody's business but hers.

Through it all, Parveen brought the same reassuring, honest and at times stern approach to her weather reportage. She has kept us informed about the wisdom of our commute options, the timing of miscellaneous errands, betting against nature and what to wear. She also told us not to worry about Sharknadoes, a phobia we badly needed to divest.

Here, she tells us it's a bittersweet move and looks back on some fond memories in Philly.

If Twitter is any indication of the region's mood on this day, many hearts are hurting.

Hey, can't we leave Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz out of this? The man is an institution himself.

Here you have it, Philadelphia. The final weather report from Sheena Parveen (she comes on around the 2:00 mark). Drive carefully. It's going to be icy tomorrow.
